According to data published by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in July of this year, the number of registered new cars in Turkey increased by 6.5% month-on-month and decreased by 19.4% year-on-year to 207,508 units.
The new number of registered passenger cars in July was 78,761 units, an increase of 6.9% month-on-month and a decrease of 25.9% year-on-year. Passenger cars accounted for 38.0% of the total number of new motor vehicles registered in the current month.
On the other hand, the number of new small trucks in July amounted to 19,609 units, which is 18.7% more than in the previous month and 30.3% less than last year. The number of registered small trucks accounted for 9.4% of the total number of new registrations for the given month.
