In the period from January to July of this year, exports of metallurgical coke from China amounted to 4.44 million tons, an increase of 0.9% year-on-year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.
In July alone, China's metallurgical coke exports totaled 770,000 tons, down 51.8% from the same period last year and 44.2% month-on-month.
In the first seven months, demand decreased abroad amid declining production activities of the foreign steel industry and growing trade barriers negatively affected coke exports from China.
Meanwhile, starting from July 27, 2026, the Ministry of Finance of India imposed final anti-dumping duties on relevant goods manufactured in China, Australia and some other countries for a period of five years. The duty rate applied to Chinese enterprises is $128.83 per ton
