According to preliminary data from the US Department of Commerce, in June of this year, the import of rebar into the country amounted to 100,216 tons. This is 20.2% less than a month earlier, and 20.6% lower than year-on-year. In value terms, rebar imports in June amounted to $51.13 million, compared to $68.61 million in May and $67.20 million in June 2025.
The United States imported the most fittings from South Korea in June — 95,054 tons against 79,038 tons in May and 141 thousand tons in June 2025. Other major suppliers included Mexico, from where 2,348,000 tons were imported, and the Dominican Republic, 1,429,000 tons.
