Chinese steel producer Shandong Iron and Steel Company Ltd announced a net loss of 29.5957 million yuan ($4.4 million) for the period from January to June this year, while the loss decreased compared with a net loss of 34.532 million yuan recorded in the same period last year.
In the first six months of this year, the production volume of cast iron, crude steel and finished steel products of Shandong Steel amounted to 7.5 million tons, 8.69 million tons and 8.39 million tons, respectively. 44.3%, 16.6% and 7.7% year-on-year, respectively.
