In September 2026, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), a subsidiary of state-owned Coal India Limited (CIL) in India, produced 2.49 million tons of coking coal, which is 21.5% more than a year earlier, the company said in a statement released on Friday, October 2.
The company also reported that open-pit production amounted to 2.55 million tons, an increase of 24.4%, while underground production decreased to 0.02 million tons, which is 76.6% less year-on-year.
