Joint Stock Company Mechel received a good response from Russian Railways

Open Joint Stock Company Mechel, as the largest company in the mining and metallurgical industry, announced a positive opinion issued by the agency of the Russian Railways (RZD), which has the ability to supply free wagons along the newly built railway track to the developed Elga coal deposit.

The full opinion was received for a period until July 30, 2015. The document states that the new non-public railway section Ulak-Elga will be open for the transportation of freight cars by Russian Railways and for other companies involved in the transportation of goods.

Currently, the finished Ulak-Elga railway section, which is 321 kilometers long, is serviced by Mechel Trans Vostok Limited Liability Company, which provides all cargo transportation, while maintaining the technical condition of the track wire while continuing to lay the construction bed. In the documents for the examination of the registration commission for property rights, the readiness of the railway section to the developed Elga coal deposit is approximately 91%.
