In the wake of Putin's visit to Chelyabinsk

The growth in production of the metallurgical industry in the Chelyabinsk region will be at least four percent, and this is only a lower estimate. According to more optimistic forecasts, this figure could reach sixteen percent. All this is happening against the background of a general industrial upsurge in the region, which, for example, in the field of housing and manufacturing forged railings amounted to about twenty-eight percent - that is, the value is more than tangible.

It is worth emphasizing that this positive trend is observed against the background of the sanctions imposed against Russia. Within the industry, growth is also uneven: for pipe manufacturers it is sixteen percent, and for "big metallurgy" - four. Tax revenues have grown significantly, exceeding those of the previous year by seven percent. The dynamics of growth of salaries of metallurgists keeps pace with the growth of their productivity. In this column, there is a three percent increase in wages, which looks good against the backdrop of forced inflationary processes.

The recent visit of President Putin to Chelyabinsk allowed the heads of local enterprises to report to the President on the current problems and achievements of the metallurgical sector in the region. Putin, in turn, assured the meeting participants that each of their requests would be brought to the attention of the relevant metropolitan authorities, thoroughly analyzed and would serve as the basis for developing further industrial policy regarding the production of metallurgical products in Chelyabinsk and the region. Let's hope that the meeting with the president will benefit the local metallurgists.
