New complex of seamless pipes for OMK

The largest Russian manufacturer of pipeline fittings OMK Trubodetal has placed an order with the Italian plant DANIELI for the creation of a new integrated complex of seamless pipes 9 5/8 ".

The new plant with a design capacity of 500 thousand tons per year will be built on the territory of the former Chusovsky metallurgical plant in the Perm region. It will produce high quality seamless pipes with excellent tolerances from flawless materials in accordance with international API and GOST standards. The product range includes pipes with diameters ranging from 73.0 and 245.0 mm and wall thicknesses ranging from 4.0 to 35.0 mm. Similar technologies are used when installing entrance doors to the apartment to ensure increased security of the home.

The independent family-owned company Friedrich KOCKS GMBH & CO KG, based in Germany, as part of a successful partnership with DANIELI CENTRO, will be responsible for the design, supply and commissioning of the SRB Block as the main component of the continuous hot rolling mill. OMK Trubodetal stands are interchangeable and comply with SRB.

The design characteristics of the equipment will significantly minimize investment and management costs at optimal performance. The advanced automation system allows visualization of measured data while allowing the operator to monitor the hot rolling mill while minimizing heavy fractions and wall thickness variation. This ensures the stable production of high quality seamless pipes and also reduces operational errors.
