In 2014, OJSC Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant launched a strategic program for the implementation of advanced information technologies in management and operational processes.
The strategy is aimed at optimizing costs, increasing business transparency, strengthening corporate interactions, as well as creating new services for customers and staff. The company's specialists began the implementation of 24 priority projects to achieve these goals. One of the promising areas of application of computer technology has become laser cutting , which allows you to work with high accuracy and without deformation metal.
MMK Group has adopted a broad IT development strategy in production activities. The main directions of implementation include integrated systems of corporate communications, mobile access to main business applications, modeling and forecasting, operational management of order execution, including individual orders.
One of the key aspects of the internal IT development program is the implementation of a project to introduce new mobile applications that allow MMK's customers to monitor the delivery status online, ensuring full transparency at all stages of order fulfillment, including production. This ensures optimal delivery conditions and allows timely adjustments to the process as needed.
Mobile applications for maintenance and repair will allow you to timely perform planned and unscheduled repairs, as well as identify equipment defects at an early stage. The system is expected to result in fewer accidents and unplanned equipment downtime, lower repair costs, and increased machine reliability. Over the past year, the company launched a program to operate MMK's sinter plant, as well as other mobile applications aimed at optimizing business processes and corporate communications.
