MMK and ChTPZ are holding a meeting with the aim of further cooperation

The Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works together with the Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant have achieved success in the implementation of a strategic cooperation program that ensures the supply of high-quality pipe products to oil and gas companies. The enterprises entered into an agreement that provides for the supply of the large-diameter pipe production shop at ChelPipe with sheet products from MMK mill 5000.

Throughout 2014, the supply of rolled metal from the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant to ChelPipe increased by 20 percent (by 100 thousand tons) and exceeded 570 thousand tons, of which more than 460 thousand tons accounted for mill 5000. In the history of cooperation between enterprises, the largest the volume of MMK products, which is associated with an increase in the supply of pipes produced by ChTZ for the Bovanenkovo-Ukhta, Power of Siberia and Southern Corridor pipelines sold by Gazprom.

Starting from February 2015, enterprises switched to the exchange of documents in electronic form using an electronic digital signature, completely eliminating paper invoices and other documents, which allowed MMK and ChTZ to speed up the exchange of documents, and the use of new technical connections increased the manageability of activities.

Today, a coordination council between the enterprises began work at MMK. ChTZ and MMK are already holding the sixteenth coordination council, which is held twice a year. At such meetings, heads and representatives of production and sales services of both companies resolve issues of interaction in technical and commercial areas, and also make proposals for the further development of cooperation. Based on the results of the work of the coordinating council, a protocol is signed, reflecting the results of the meeting of partners, which also determine plans for the future. This coordinating council will work for two days.
