China's steel production declines at the end of July

According to data released by the China Iron & Steel Association (CISA), the country's daily crude steel production averaged 1.603 million tonnes at the end of July. The daily crude steel output of the world's largest producer and consumer of steel at the end of July decreased by about 2.69 percent, or 44,300 tons, compared with the previous period.

At the end of July, pig iron production was 1.604 million tonnes, down 1.65 pence, or 27,000 tonnes, compared to the previous year.
