MMK mastered the production of new products

At mill 5000 of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK), a program was implemented to expand the range of products, as a result of which the production of new types of products was mastered.

For Mill 5000 MMK, a technology was developed for the production of hot-rolled sheet products from steel grade P355NL2 in accordance with STO MMK 297-2010. Hot-rolled normalized sheet metal is used for the manufacture of tank cars for the transportation of chemically active substances.

Mill 5000 also established rolling production of hot-rolled sheet steel of 09G2S grade in accordance with GOST 19281-2014 with a thickness in the range of 8.0 - 32.0 mm with additional requirements for operational and mechanical properties. The mastered rolled metal is used for the production of pipeline assemblies and parts.
