October 28, Moscow. The Moscow City Court on Wednesday recognized the "Ethnopolitical Association of Russians" headed by Dmitry Demushkin as an extremist organization and banned its activities on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The Moscow court thus fully satisfied the submission of the prosecutor's office.
At the beginning of October, the Moscow City Court postponed the consideration of the prosecutor's claim to the 28th day, demanding to recognize the "Russians" movement as extremist and ban its activities in Russia. The judge made the decision to give the defendants time to look for a representative in court.
A representative of the Moscow Prosecutor's Office insisted on recognizing the Russians as an extremist organization, since "psychological and linguistic research has identified signs of extremism in the manifesto of this organization - a call to fight for the creation of their own national state, while all methods of struggle are approved."
The representative of the FSB of the Russian Federation supported the demands of the prosecutor's office in court.
