A conference of representatives of coke-chemical enterprises of Ukraine was held at PJSC "Zaporozhkoks"

On October 27-28, 2015 at PJSC Zaporozhkoks a practical conference of managers and specialists of the Ukrainian by-product coke plant was held - PJSC Avdeevsky Coke Plant, PJSC MK Azovstal, PJSC EVRAZ Dneprodzerzhinsky Coke Plant and a number of other enterprises.

The main topic of discussion at the conference was the issue of improving production technology, improving the quality of coke-chemical products and reducing costs. As part of the conference, a production excursion was organized, during which the participants got acquainted with the work of the main workshops of PJSC "Zaporozhkoks".

“In conditions of low demand for metal and falling prices, metallurgists today are looking for various opportunities to optimize their production and reduce costs. Our main task today is to produce cheap coke of good quality in Ukraine, thereby reducing the volume of its imports and the costs of producers, ”said Vitaliy Litovka, General Director of PJSC“ Zaporozhskoks ”.

In total, about ten discussion topics were discussed during the conference. In particular, representatives of the Avdiivka Coke Plant, where twelve production shutdowns occurred due to hostilities over the past year, shared with their colleagues their experience in bringing coke oven batteries to hot storage with their subsequent launch.

The venue of the conference was chosen taking into account the fact that PJSC "Zaporizhkoks" today is a stable operating enterprise of the industry, which provides high-quality raw materials for metallurgical production of one of the largest metallurgical enterprises in Ukraine - the "Zaporizhstal" plant.
