Zaporizhstal increased pig iron production by a third in October

The metallurgical plant of PJSC Zaporizhstal of Metinvest Group in October 2015 compared to October 2014 increased the volume of pig iron production by 32 percent - up to 361.7 thousand tons. At the same time, the plant saw a sharp decline in steel production - by 22.4 percent compared to the same period last year (APPG) - to 343.3 thousand tons and finished rolled products - by 12.4 percent to APPG - to 298 thousand tons.

In January-October 2015, PJSC Zaporizhstal recorded an annual growth in pig iron production by 7.9 percent - up to 3 million 108 thousand 100 tons, steel - by 1.4 percent - up to 3 million 344 thousand 100 tons and finished rolled products - by 1.2 percent compared to the APPG - up to 2 million 856 thousand 600 tons.

PJSC "Zaporizhstal" is one of the largest industrial enterprises in Ukraine, whose products are widely known and are in demand among consumers in the domestic market and in many countries of the world.

The plant specializes in high-quality hot-rolled steel coils, hot-rolled sheets, cold-rolled sheets, cold-rolled coils made of carbon and low-alloy steels, as well as steel strip, black plate, bent sections.

The main consumers of the plant's products are manufacturers of welded pipes, automobile, transport, agricultural engineering enterprises, and manufacturers of household appliances.
