Ukraine sells Zaporozhye aluminum foil plant

The State Property Fund of Ukraine put up for sale the state-owned enterprise "Aluminum Foil Plant" (SE "ZAF"), which was previously part of the complex of enterprises Zaporozhye Aluminum Plant. This was reported in the newspaper "Vedomosti Privatization" on Tuesday.

ZAF never produced products, since during the transfer of ownership of the aluminum plant to Rusal, it was not included in a single complex of the enterprise, but remained on the balance sheet of the state. Nevertheless, the equipment of the Italian company Fata has been installed at ZAF, designed for the production of packaging materials from aluminum, including the one capable of producing 27 thousand tons of smooth foil annually.

SE “ZAF” continues to be an object of construction in progress with a carrying value at the end of 2014 of UAH 373.03 million. The company has no sales proceeds, and the net loss in 2014 amounted to UAH 0.2 million.
