The press service of the metallurgical plant PJSC "Zaporizhstal" of the Dutch company Metinvest denied reports about the transfer of employees to a shorter working day.
"We inform you that this information is not true." - stated in the press service of the enterprise.
“We would like to inform you that PJSC Zaporizhstal, despite the most difficult situation in the mining and metallurgical complex associated with the situation in the global steel market, continues to operate normally. All employees of the plant work on a full-time schedule, they are paid their wages in a timely manner and in full.
Today the plant operates in difficult economic conditions. Therefore, the main work of the labor collective of PJSC Zaporizhstal is aimed at the systematic implementation of projects to improve efficiency, to reduce the cost of production, reduce fixed costs, eliminate bottlenecks in the production process, ”the company said.
Recall that on November 17, UNIAN issued a statement from Metinvest, which says that the Dutch mining and metallurgical company decided to reduce the working hours and salaries of administrative personnel at its Ukrainian enterprises by 20 percent due to the difficult financial situation and uncertainty on the steel market.
A press release of such content never appeared on Metinvest's website.
Not all Metinvest enterprises in Ukraine are switched to shorter working hours
