According to the latest statistics published by the World Steel Association, the output of crude steel in 66 countries of the world that submitted data to the Association amounted to 133.640 million tons in October this year. Monthly output was down 3.1 percent from October last year. These 66 countries account for approximately 99 percent of the world's total crude steel production.
The following are the ten countries in the world that became the largest in terms of total steel production in October 2015. Results are shown in thousands of tons.
