According to media reports, the US has developed a partition plan for Syria. Earlier, the CIA published a report that deals with the complete division of Syria.
The Turkish newspaper Yeni Shafak reported on the specific plan of the US government on the Syrian section. According to the plan, Syria consists of three parts, but in fact there are five parts, including regions controlled by "moderate" rebels and the Syrian government. That being said, it is particularly noteworthy that the IS regions in eastern Syria were not worried about fragmentation. They, according to the US plan, will continue to be under the control of the terrorist militia. Oil-rich eastern Syria was formerly a Syrian territory populated by Sunni Arabs.
Between the Azaz regions, in northern Syria, and Dscharablus, 16 km from the Turkish-Syrian border should be left. Even Idlib must represent a truncated enclave under the control of the rebels. The area is on the new map, surrounded by areas of Kurds and government troops.
Kurdish militants and the PYD (Party of Democratic Union) will, according to the report, be in Afrin territory and east of the Euphrates. At the same time, there is a connecting line from Afrin to the north of Aleppo, and from there to the south towards the Dscharablus Euphrates. The west of Syria, including Aleppo and the Turkmen mountains, is attributed to the Syrian government.
In fact, the description of this new map is similar to the section plan that was developed by the Pentagon /CIA think tank in 2015. US Secretary of State John Kerry said last week that the United States supports Syria's fragmentation if the ceasefire is not implemented.
