World oil prices continued to rise on Monday amid reports of a reduction in the number of rigs in the US, which positively affects the overcrowded energy market.
As of Monday, the price of May futures for Brent crude oil increased by 0.76 percent to $ 39.48 per barrel, while the cost of April futures for WTI crude oil rose by 1.87 percent to $ 36.59 per barrel.
According to statistics, according to the results of the first week of March, the number of drilling rigs in the United States decreased by 2.6 percent or 13 units and amounted to 489 rigs. In annual terms, this figure would have dropped by 59 percent.
