According to the information provided by the Minister of Steel of India Narendra Singh Tomar, the production capacity of metallurgy in India in the years 2012-2013 amounted to 109.85 million tons per year. Last year, they increased to 116.74 million tons.
Recently, the government approved plans to build another metallurgical plant with a capacity of 3 million tons in Jharkhand province. The agreement was signed by the government of India and the province of Jharkhand and a company owned by the Indian Ministry of Steel.
