According to the latest statistics published by the World Steel Association, the global crude steel output of the 66 countries reporting to the Association totaled 135.720 million tonnes in June this year. The monthly output has remained more or less stable compared to the output during the same month last year. These 66 countries produced about 99% of the total global crude steel production in 2015.
Based on these data, the results for the first half of 2016 were summed up and the top ten manufacturers in the world in terms of steel output, in thousands of tons, were formed:
