Mechel increased its coal and steel output in the second quarter

Russian coal and steel producer Mechel reports that its second-quarter steel production rose 2 percent and coal production rose 4 percent from the previous quarter.

Mechel, controlled by businessman Igor Zyuzin, reported that the volume of steel production amounted to 1.1 million tons, while coal production reached 5.9 million tons.
