EU reduced imports of iron ore in the first half of 2016

In June this year, the 28 member states of the European Union imported 10.16 million tons of iron ore, down 0.8% year on year.

During the first six months of this year, the total was 53.323 million tonnes, down 9.2% year on year. The European block imported over 25 million tonnes of iron ore from Brazil, accounting for 47% of total imports.

In the first six months of this year, the total import value was $ 2,787 million tonnes, down 27.7% year on year.
