Gazprom registered a new company in Germany

Russian gas giant Gazprom has registered in Germany a new company Gazprom PGT Europe, which deals with the operation of filling stations in Europe.

According to representatives of the Russian company, the new company is registered in accordance with the requirements of German energy legislation, which provides for the separation of trade and transportation.

The decision to create a new company was preceded by two years of negotiations with the German authorities on the principles of this company. Gazprom PGT Europe currently has about fifty service stations in Germany and 10 in the Czech Republic and Poland.

Gas sales at filling stations is one of the new forms of Gazprom's activity. Nevertheless, the company believes that there is a good perspective for the development of this market segment, which guarantees the Russian company the sale of its products in the future.

Gazprom is the largest natural gas company in the world. It annually produces over 400 billion m3 of gas. Gazprom is also the largest exporter of raw materials to the European Union, covering about a third of demand.
