Ukraine harvested 38.5 million tons of grain

As of September 6, Ukrainian farmers harvested 38.5 million tons of grain, or 69% of the plan. The average yield was 3.9 tons /ha, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. At the same time, on the same date last year, production volumes reached 37.4 million tons.

In particular, now the agrarians have begun harvesting corn. As of the reporting date, 144 thousand tons of grain from 37 thousand hectares (1%) were harvested in Ukraine. The average yield reached 3.9 tons /ha.

In addition, 109 thousand tons of buckwheat were harvested in Ukraine from 85 thousand hectares (57%). The average yield was 1.28 tons /ha. Farmers harvested millet from 73 thousand hectares (71%). Production volumes amounted to 133 thousand tons, with a yield of 1.83 tons /ha.

Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine harvested 909 thousand tons of sunflower seeds from an area of ​​470 thousand hectares (8%), with an average yield of 1.93 tons /ha. The total area for harvesting sunflower seeds is 5.9 million hectares. Ukraine continued to harvest soybeans. Agrarians harvested 205 thousand tons of oilseeds from 102 thousand hectares (6%), with an average yield of 2.02 tons /ha.

Ukrainian farmers have prepared the ground for harvesting winter cereals about 6.214 million hectares (77%).
