The leadership of Ukrzaliznytsia plans to discuss with representatives from Azerbaijan and Georgia about tariffs for the transportation of goods across the countries' territory within the framework of the Silk Road project, as stated by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan.
Ukraine launched the first experimental train from Ilyichevsk to China on January 15, passing through Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
According to Kiev's plans, the new route will run from Izov station on the border of Ukraine with Poland to Dostyk station on the border of Kazakhstan and China, and will include ferry transportation along the Black and Caspian Seas.
