ArcelorMittal supplies steel to a French shipbuilding company

The global steel giant ArcelorMittal has announced that it has supplied 35,000 tonnes of steel to the French cruise shipbuilding company STX France. This steel is intended for use in the construction of bridges and the first ship of MSC Cruises.

The products are manufactured in ArcelorMittal factories in Europe: sheet steel is produced in Gijon in Spain, Fos-sur-Mer produces coiled steel and processed in St. Nazaire.

Since 2013, ArcelorMittal has been the preferred supplier of steel products for STX France. It will also provide STX France with plate and hot rolled sheet for the MSC Mergviglia MSC Bellissima, which is set to debut in spring 2019.
