EMZ expanded its product line of rolled products

In November, the Yenakiyevo Metallurgical Plant (EMZ) of Metinvest Group launched production of two new angles. The products are intended primarily for the domestic market and are sold through the Metinvest-SMC warehouse network.

Equal angles 90x90x6 mm and 40x40x3 mm in size are produced according to the DSTU 2251-93 /GOST 8509-93 standard. These types of structural shapes are used in construction in the manufacture of support structures, power line supports, doorways and mechanical engineering - in the production of hulls, supporting frames, platforms for equipment.

The first 130 tons of products were shipped to the warehouses of Metinvest's service metal centers. The capacity of the domestic market for a 40x40x3 mm corner is estimated at about 5.5 thousand tons per year, for a corner 90x90 mm wide and 6 mm thick - about 1.7 thousand tons per year.

In July 2016, EMZ began production of an equal angle corner with a shelf width of 110 mm and a thickness of 7-8 mm according to the DSTU 2251 /GOST 8509 standard. The products are used in the production of metal structures, supplied to the domestic market and to the CIS countries. By the end of this year, it is planned to sell about 2.5 thousand tons of angular products of this size.

Also, at the beginning of this year, the Makeevka branch of EMZ launched the production of a 50x50x4 corner according to the European standard EN 10025-2. The products are focused on the markets of Slovakia, the countries of South-Eastern Europe and the Baltic States. The corner is used in construction, car building, automotive, heavy machinery and furniture industries.

Taking into account new products, Yenakiyevo Metallurgical Plant produces 27 standard sizes of angular products.
