Consumption of rolled metal is growing in Ukraine

It is expected that in 2016 the Ukrainian market for steel consumption will increase by 26 percent compared to a year earlier and will reach 4,122 thousand tons. Then, as in 2015, the consumption of rolled metal in the country amounted to 3269 thousand tons.

According to forecasts, a further increase in the consumption of steel products in the domestic market of Ukraine is expected in 2017. Next year, the consumption of rolled metal products will grow by 7 percent in relation to the volume of consumption in 2016. Consumption in the domestic market in 2017 will exceed 4,414 thousand tons of rolled metal. The growth will also occur due to the expansion of the construction sector.
