Zaporizhstal production results for January

In January 2017, PJSC Zaporizhstal produced 287.7 thousand tons of pig iron, 326.2 thousand tons of steel and 270 thousand tons of rolled products.

Pig iron production in January of this year fell by 58.0 percent compared to 345.7 thousand tons in January last year.

Steel production in January 2017 fell by 27.5 percent compared to 326.2 thousand tons received in January 2016.

The production of rolled steel in January decreased by 31.4 percent compared to 301.4 thousand tons in January 2016.

The drop in production in January 2017, compared to the same month in 2016, is due to the shutdown of blast furnace No. 3 for 150 days for a complete reconstruction. The plant's investments in the project amounted to UAH 1.5 billion.
