Outokumpu, a global leader in stainless steel products, sold 2.44 million tonnes of stainless steel products in 2016, increasing sales by 2.6% year-on-year.
Out of this volume, cold-rolled steel was 1.73 million tons, hot-rolled strip was 425,000 tons, sheet steel was 100,000 tons, long products reached 65,000 tons, semi-finished stainless steel products were 247,000 tons, stainless steel pipe was 1,000 tons.
Ferrochromic sales in 2016 were 126,000 tonnes, down 1.6% from 128,000 tonnes in the previous year. But production increased by 17.2% during the same time.
