Exports of ferrous metal increased in the USA

The United States Department of Commerce reported that December 2016 sales rose 8% from November to 1,217,555 tonnes.

American ferrous metal was exported to many major world states. Turkey is the leader in buying ferrous metal from the United States. In December last year, Turkey imported 298,596 tons of metal, which is 4.3% more than in November 2016. China made purchases of ferrous metal in the volume of 142647 tons. Taiwan ranks third in terms of ferrous metal imports with a purchase volume of 134,615 tons. Deliveries to Mexico in December amounted to 124,780 tons, and to Kuwait - 128,316 tons.

In December 2016, the United States exported $ 374.6 million worth of ferrous metal, which is 15.2% more than in November.
