EU reduced imports of iron ore
The EU28 countries imported 108.35 million tonnes of iron ore during 2016, decreasing the total by 5.9% compared to 2015.

The EU imported 48.09 million tons of iron ore from Brazil, followed by Ukraine with 16.884 million tons. Canada exported 20.919 million tonnes of iron ore to the EU. The EU imported 8.953 million tons of iron ore from Russia.
