Avdiivka Coke Plant of Metinvest Group and the civil-military administration of Avdeevka signed a Social Partnership Agreement for 2017

Funding for social programs will amount to UAH 11.9 million.

The Agreement was signed by Musa Magomedov, General Director of the Avdiivka Coke-Chemical Plant, and Pavel Malykhin, Head of the Civil-Military Administration.

Over the six years of cooperation, Metinvest has invested UAH 53.1 million in the development of Avdiivka. The funds were used to repair schools and kindergartens, develop urban infrastructure, create conditions for an active lifestyle in Avdeyevs, support health care and provide assistance to socially vulnerable groups of the population.

Last year, Avdeyevsky Koksokhim carried out major repairs in three secondary schools, renovated the infectious diseases department of the city hospital and the entrance to the polyclinic, installed outdoor lighting on the city boulevard, equipped bicycle parking for residents, cleared wells with drinking water in the old part of Avdeevka.

In 2017, Avdiivka Coke Plant plans to renovate a linear clinic, carry out internal work in schools and kindergartens, open a center for children and youth, and improve the transport logistics of the city.

General Director of Metinvest Group Yuri Ryzhenkov:

- Avdiivskiy koksokhim and its team are an example of courage and great responsibility. The plant and Avdeevka have become a single whole over the years of testing. AKHZ provides the city with heat, fills the city treasury by almost 80%, helps Avdeevka to develop and believe in the best. This year the company will focus its efforts on the development of education, healthcare and infrastructure facilities.

Musa Magomedov, General Director of Avdiivka Coke Chemical Plant:

- Our plant has to survive and work in difficult conditions. No matter how difficult it is, we remember: AKHZ is an integral part of Avdeevka. City and company are indivisible for us. Together with the civil-military administration, we are trying to do everything possible for the development of Avdiivka. We have a lot of plans now. I am sure, as in previous years, we will cope. We will pay special attention to the restoration of the houses of the factory workers who were damaged during the shelling.

Pavel Malykhin, head of the Avdeevsk military-civil administration:

- Avdiivka Coke always looks in the same direction with us, participates as much as possible in the life of the city, supports all undertakings. It is important that in such a difficult time the plant provides jobs, stable wages, and pays taxes on time. The city of Avdeevka survives largely thanks to the AKHZ. We are confident in him as a reliable partner and friend. We know that we can count on support in any situation.
