The European Commission began revision of anti -dumping duties for import Ferrosilication from the Russian Federation and China.
The revision was launched at the request of the company Euroralliages on behalf of the production sector Ferrosilicius of the EU, submitted at the end of March this year. Products that are subject to review covers the CN 72022100, 72022910 and 72022990.

Despite the low recent volumes of imports from these countries, EC notes that the presence of significant unloaded capacities in both countries and reduction of sales in other markets can lead to damage to manufacturers in the EU. (India, Japan, South Korea, Türkiye and Vietnam), indicating the probability of the resumption of dumping in case of ceasefire in the EU.
for China, the applicant indicates Brazil as a representative country to calculate normal value. The dumping margin calculated on this basis is significant for the PRC. Given the current absence of significant volumes of import of Chinese ferrosilication into Europe, the applicants also presented evidence of dumping when exporting these products to Japan, South Korea and Indonesia.
Recall that in December last year, the EC initiated a protective investigation regarding the import of some ferro -payes. It was started at the request of a number of Blok Member States. During the investigation, it will be evaluated whether or threatens to cause serious damage to EU producers to increase the import of these products. Its volumes increased from 1.3 million tons in 2020 to 1.6 million tons by the middle of 2024.
