The US Department of Commerce has kept antidumping and countervailing duty orders on standard steel welded wire mesh from Mexico in place. The decision follows the first sunset reviews of the orders.
The Department of Commerce and the US International Trade Commission found that revoking the duties would likely lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping and subsidisation, as well as material injury to the US industry.
The department said dumping margins of up to 110.42% would likely apply if the antidumping order were revoked. If the countervailing duty order were lifted, likely net subsidy rates would be 1.03% for Aceromex S.A. De C.V., 102.10% for Deacero S.A.P.I. de C.V. and 1.03% for all other companies.
The products covered are classified under US Harmonized Tariff Schedule subheadings 7314.20.0000 and 7314.39.0000.
