Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau reported net profit of $293.264 million for the third quarter of 2026, up 43.4% from a year earlier. The company attributed the increase mainly to higher realized prices in North America, which offset rising local costs.
Revenue rose 3.9% to $3.506 billion, while production costs fell 3.2% to $2.877 billion. Gross profit increased 56.4% to $628.7 million, and operating profit climbed 63.7% to $509.5 million.
Steel production, however, declined 6.2% to 1.471 million metric tons, and steel product sales fell 14.8% to 1.351 million tons. North America accounted for 76.4% of the group’s EBITDA and 55.6% of revenue; Brazil’s shares were 19.1% and 36.8%, respectively.
Gerdau reported its results in Brazilian reais. Dollar figures were converted at BRL 5.33 per US dollar.
