Statistics showed that China exported 6.98 million tons of steel in May 2017, decreasing exports by 25.9% over the same period last year. In January-May this year, China's steel exports amounted to 34.19 million tons, down 25.7% over the same period last year.
In May this year, China imported 1.11 million tons of steel, increasing imports by 1.8% over the same period last year. In January-May this year, steel imports to China amounted to 5.67 million tons, an increase of 6.5% over the same period last year.
