Uozhsich Balssun is no longer the head of the railways of Ukraine

Уожсич Балссун больше не глава железных дорог Украины
The head of Ukrzaliznytsia, rocker Pole Wojciech Balchun, has resigned. In this position, he worked for a year and a half and tried to reform the Ukrainian railway.

The first to announce the resignation of Wojciech Balchun was not the head of Ukrzaliznytsia himself, but the Prime Minister of Ukraine, who clarified that he had resigned voluntarily for personal reasons. At the same time, not a word of criticism was heard, only gratitude for the work done and hope for further cooperation.

“I hope that Balchun will remain an advisor to the head of the board, because he has launched many logistics projects, including international ones, that need to be continued and completed,” said Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

A little later, Balchun himself commented on his decision from China on his Facebook page. He explained that during his work, Ukrzaliznytsia has become more profitable. And for six months the company earned 4 billion hryvnia more than in the same period last year. He also attributed to his merits a decrease in the company's credit debts and, on the contrary, an increase in the volume of transit traffic.

Until the election of the new head of Ukrzaliznytsia at the competition, his duties will be performed by First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Yevhen Kravtsov. He already headed Ukrzaliznytsia at Balchun. He re-takes the board and promises not to raise ticket prices while improving service.

“Today there are quite a few complaints about service in passenger transportation. This will be the main priority in order to put things in order and order in the passenger service in a short time, "- said Kravtsov.

Infrastructure Minister Vladimir Omelyan said he was "happy" about Balchun's dismissal. He is convinced that it is necessary to renew the entire management team of Ukrzaliznytsia. He believes that a company that provides 5% of a country's GDP should be run by more competent people.
