Thyssenkrupp earns higher revenues and profits

Thyssenkrupp sees an increase in revenues and EBIT during the first three quarters of the fiscal year, but the impact of one-off events provides a net loss.

Components Lift Technology recorded record results with net income of 5.703 billion euros. The Industrial Solutions segment, after a good first half in the third quarter, almost reduced sales, but the rise in prices gave very good results for the material services segment, whose revenue rose to 10.185 billion euros.

Adjusted EBIT increased 37 percent to € 1.376 billion. The Steel Europe segment increased shipments by 4 percent to 8.6 million tonnes and a turnover of 6.616 billion euros, which is 1 billion euros more than a year earlier. Adjusted EBIT rose 70 percent to € 352 million.

At the network level, however, the group suffered losses of € 721 million. This is the result of the impact of a one-time event that is associated with the sale of the Brazilian company CSA.
