Production results of the metallurgical sector of Ukraine

In September 2018, metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine smelted 1.66 million tons of pig iron, which is 3.7% lower than in August 2018; steel production reached 1.79 million tons, remaining at the level of August; rolled metal production amounted to 1.57 million tons, an increase of 3% compared to August.

For 9 months from the beginning of 2018, 15.29 million tons of pig iron were produced, which is 5% higher compared to the same period in 2017; steel output amounted to 15.77 million tons, which is 1% higher than last year's level, rolled metal production reached 13.84 million tons, which is 3% higher than the level of 2017 for the corresponding period.
