Interpipe Corporation finally closed the Marten production

"Interpipe of the Nizhnedneprovsky pipe factory" disabled the last active Marten stove. The Martenovsky production stop became possible after the interpipation of the new electric -patchy complex "Interpipe Steel" was launched.

As indicated in the press release of the company, the abandonment of the Martinovsky production and commissioning of an electric steel -melting plant will ensure the interpipes of a steel tube workpiece, subject to the most stringent standards in the field of ecology and energy conservation.

The stop of the Marten production will reduce the load on the atmosphere of the city of Dnepropetrovsk by two and a half times. New melting production will save natural gas by 60 million cubic meters per year and lower the total energy consumption of the enterprise by 2.2 times.

The economic effect of the liquidation of the Marten production has already been felt in the interpipe corporation - for September 2012, the volume of steel production at the new electric -frail plant exceeded a similar average monthly Martenovsky workshop in 2011.
