According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the country's metallurgical enterprises will reduce steel for 6% to 32 million 571 thousand tons in 2012, cast iron by 1% to 28 million 488 thousand tons and reduce the production of finished metal products by 8% to 29 million 107 thousand tons.
This forecast was made after the publication of production indicators of the mining and metallurgical industry of Ukraine in January - October of the current year. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade involves further deterioration in the market conditions in the metallurgical sector both within the country and beyond.
A further decline will occur in the pipeline industry. Temples will not receive 4% of last year's sales. Pipe production will be 2 million 125 thousand tons.
Until the end of this year, the Ministry of Economic Development involves a significant drop in the supply of metal scrap to the country's met enterprise. According to its forecasts, the amount of scrap metal will decrease by 27% and will not exceed five million tons.
Such forecasts of Ukrainian officials differ significantly from the voiced in the middle of the year. Then it was announced the alleged increase in smelting steel to 33 million 800 thousand tons. The gap in the predicted volumes was, as we see, almost one and a half million tons.
Recall that according to previously published reports, Ukrainian metallurgists in January - October melted 27 million tons of steel and produced about twenty -four tons of finished metal rolling. The fixed drop in production volumes was 7 - 8%.
The Ministry of Economic Development of Ukraine predicts a drop in the production of metal rolling by 8%
