Energomashspetsstal put into operation a new steel -smelter complex

Today, a solemn launch of a new electric stalling complex at the Energomashspetsstal plant was held. The ceremony on the commissioning of the swimming complex, the DSP-70, was attended by the general director of the Rosatom State Corporation Sergey Kirienko, the First Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Public Utilities of Ukraine, Alexander Alipov, heads of the Rosatom State Corporation, OJSC Atomenergomash, PJSC Energomashpetsstal, and Energy NEEC, NEEC. OJSC "Turboat", the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, the leadership of the administration of the Donetsk region and the city of Kramatorsk.

The commissioning of a new modern complex has become the final stage of the reconstruction of the plant. For seven years, Energomashspetsstal has been modernizing production capacities with the full support of the Rosatom State Corporation and its Machine -Building Division of OJSC Atomenergomash. In the process of such mutual assistance, in 2010, 51 % of the shares of the Energomashspetsstal plant was in the hands of Atomenergomash.

The new automated electric steel unit DSP-70 (an arc steelpiece furnace with a working volume of 70 tons) will allow you to melt the metal at a speed of 70 tons per hour, which is more than three times faster than on old units. Auxiliary equipment will work under the control of special software mastercam . The process of steel smelting will proceed under a layer of foamed slag, which radically reduces the number of harmful emissions into the atmosphere of the city. Automatic filtration systems of the new complex will provide unprecedented cleaning of diverted gases. DSP-70 will be able to ensure the production of heavy ingots weighing up to 500 tons.

In the framework of the Kyoto Protocol over the past seven years since the beginning of modernization, Energomashspetsstal has significantly increased the energy efficiency of all production processes. The consumption of natural gas was doubled and the electricity consumption per ton of melted steel was three times reduced.
