Metallurgical Plant Donetskstal will dispose of old cars

As part of the modernization of the production and reconstruction of capacities, the Donetsk Immombank "Donetskstal" began the construction of a unique installation of scrap metal processing for Ukraine.

Equipment allows to process cars without their preliminary disassembly and capable of separating metal from plastics and glass will be launched in operation in the middle of next year.

The automobile "Shreder" will be the first installation that will "allow the government decisions that introduce a recycling collection. The most advanced European equipment is mounted here," the website of the Donetsk regional administration reports.

According to the mayor of the city of Donetsk, Alexander Lukyanchenko, the production capacity of 750 thousand tons of waste per year on Donetsk.

The scrap metal obtained using new equipment will be used in the technological processes of steel smelting on the new electric arc furnaces, the commissioning of which is scheduled for the second half of 2013.

As we have already reported, Donetskstal completely abandoned the Marten production of steel and today is building a new electric furnace DSP-150. In parallel, the reconstruction of the leaf -rolling camp is carried out.
