Arcelormittal refused to sell the plant in France

The Minister of Labor of France, Michel Sapen and the Minister of Industry Arno Monteburg, insist on the full sale of the new owner of the Florandi metallurgical plant. The ministries mentioned in an ultimatic unit demanded that Arcelormittal put up the rest of the French Asset of a steel giant for auction due to the fact that potential buyers do not agree to purchase only domestic production, but want to control the whole enterprise.

According to the Dow Jones agency, ArcelorMittal officially refused to completely sell the French Florange factory, motivating the fact that "the sale of all Flooral production links will pose a threat to the rest of the ArcelorMittal business in France.

Recall that ArcelorMittal intended to stop blasting production at the Floral Minepage back in October 2012, but went to meet the French government, which stated the intention to find a new owner for two blast furnaces and postponed the stop of production and the end of the year.

The media of France reported that the Russian company Severstal expressed interest in buying the Florange plant. As the local newspaper Les Echoes, citing its sources, the representative of Severstal visited the French control room to evaluate the proposed assets. In addition to the Russian corporation, according to the same Les Echoes, two more companies showed interest to the property of Lakshmi Mitall, who wished to remain unknown.
