A mercury factory was blown up in Gorlovka, the fragments scattered half a kilometer

This Saturday, the building of the metallurgical workshop was blown up at the Gorlovsky Mercury Plant, Donetsk news reported.

Two series of explosions occurred as part of work on the dismantling of the designs of the workshop. Nicetrtut LLC, on which the Gorlovsky Mercury Plant is located, invited the Avako company specializing in such works, whose experts were dismantled by the building by blowing it.

The destruction of the building of the former metallurgical workshop took place in two stages. The first series of explosions was destroyed by the upper part of the main building, and the remaining parts of the structures were undermined by the second, more powerful charge.

As the demolitions were expected, the radius of the dispersal of the explosion fragments did not exceed 500 meters. For dismantling, about 90 kg of ammonite were used, an explosive used in industry.

The most difficult place during the explosions was the very design of the former metallurgical production, built during the Soviet Union and had a high degree of explosive resistance. Also, work was complicated by the fact that I had to blow up at a working enterprise. Further dismantling using explosive work will continue on Wednesday.
