The Metallurgical Plant Zaporozhstal completed the integrated preparation of the project and began industrial tests of the basic coal warehouse of the installation complex to blow dust -out fuel in dominant production.
The full amount of investment in the implementation of the energy -saving project is about one billion hryvnias of which about 350 million were spent on the basic coal warehouse (BSU).
The capacities of the Zaporozhstalevsky BSU have no analogues in Ukraine and allow us to process 1000 tons of coal per hour or more than 300 wagons per day.
The construction of the basic coal warehouse made it possible to create 88 additional jobs at the enterprise. The employees of the plant who have to work on new equipment were also trained. Additionally, equipment installation contract with the main contractors of the metallurgical plant.
The introduction of dust -angle fuel blowing technology, which gave excellent results at the Ilyich MMK, allows you to constructed more than 300 million cubic meters of natural gas during the year.
“The technology of blowing the Put on Zaporizhst was successfully introduced,” said Rostislav Shurma, general director of Zaporizhstal OJSC, “We completely abandoned the use of natural gas in dominant production and reduced the consumption of metallurgical coks from 495 to 376 kg when smelting 1 ton of cast iron, which allowed us to reduce the cost of melting of the Chistuhun for 50 dollars on a ton, or by 15 %. ”
In addition to the actual economic result, the installation of dusty fuel (Put) will reduce greenhouse gas emissions into more than 300 thousand tons per year.
The construction of the PUT complex in 2008 ended in 2011 and today, thanks to the commissioning of a new basic coal warehouse, it reached the calculated loading indicators. It is worth noting that during the first launch of the installation of the Put, the costs of its construction have already paid off.
Zaporizhstal spent more than a billion hryvnias on energy conservation
