The Russian Mining and Metallurgical Group Mechel announced its consolidated financial results in January - September 2012. The company's net income for the specified period amounted to 8 billion 751 million dollars, decreasing by 9% compared to the same period last year. The operational loss of Mechel in January - September 2012 amounted to $ 29 billion 868 million compared to an operational income of $ 1 billion in the same period in 2011. The consolidated adjusted EBITDA indicator in the first nine months of this year decreased by 34.1% to 1 billion 224 million dollars against $ 1 billion 857 million in the corresponding period in 2011.
The total revenue from the sales of the mountain-angle division for export decreased by 15.8% to 2 billion 591 million, and the revenue from the export of the metal roll by 6.5% to 5 billion 246 million. Both indicators compared to the same periods of 2011.
